Even though the sea at times is very powerful with crashing waves, there is also a great sense of calmness, tranquility and peace about it. I filmed this beautiful scene on the rocky coastline of sligo in the northwest of Ireland. Please go to kck.st About the project My name is Grigorij “Greg” Richters. I have been making movies since I was 6. So the question of getting a real job never occurred to me. I don’t think I can do anything else but make movies. Please find some of my film samples below. This film is extremely personal to me. I discovered not too long ago what an incredible threat Asteroids, Comets and so called “space objects” pose to our planet. I came across that subject randomly while skimming though videos on Youtube. I saw this incredible animation of a 500 Meter wide space object that hit our planet (please watch my video to see it). Such an object would destroy our planet and heat it up to thousands of degrees of Celsius within minutes. And then I dug deeper and realized that even with today’s technology we can only account for 40% of all objects coming towards earth and sometimes our computers even oversee a 100 or 500 Meter wide object. Scary, I thought. And the perfect subject for a movie, right? So I sat down and thought of a story around my research and this is what I came up with, enjoy: The Story Damon Miller is a young filmmaker who lives in London with his girl friend. She’s pregnant. He’s been fascinated by Asteroids and Comets. He is doing his research to find out more about possible threats from outer space, mainly to make a movie about this topic. Shaun has his computer in the closet due to lack of space in the house. The fact that he is in the closet becomes irrelevant as he happens to be deeply immersed in a fantasy game world. This is a 2-minute documentary about a gamer that has been playing MMORPG’s for almost 20 years. It is portrayed as a personal account of a gamer who talks about gaming via on screen questions symbolising an in-game chat box. The documentary also investigates whether gaming is addictive. THE MAN IN THE CLOSET documentary was created for Digital Video Development unit /Edinburgh based university.

Ferguson’s research interests include: structuring personal “art systems” that employ rules and strategies to track small thoughts and imagining; exploring connections and experience in reflexive and reflective actions; promoting systems of thinking and making that highlight “internal detail” in situations and objects; using extensive series of images to display the versatility of image production; serializing projects to display the obsessive nature of capturing experiences through image; placing importance on “almost nothings” and “wee thoughts,” as the moments of extreme clarity that sustain art practice and its theoretical development in the composition of art events, art projects and essayistic approaches to art production ; promotion of drawing and painting, not simply as skills, but as thinking tools. He has recently taken part in the “Systems-Art and Systems-Aesthetics Conference” at the Whitechapel Art Gallery Laboratory, London.
